I know the USA 97th Field Hospital left Wheatley for europe in 1944, It then became British and was named R.A.F.Wheatley but
I wonder if anyone could tell me if I was trying to find the records for R.A.F. Wheatley would I go to the R.A.F.Records Office?
The reason I ask Is it was a British Military Hospital and as far as I know there were no flights in and out of there as it wasnt large enough, I have tried the Army Records office in Glasgow with no
success also the Army Medical museum again with no success.
I would be gratefull for any Ideas Please, I have Googled and there is very little about R.A.F. Wheatley
Thank you
Mayfly.
