I have found Family History Societies to be very helpful and have used the Norfolk branch myself. You can find out details via google. They provided me with quite a bit of information about my ancestors and were very happy with a (small) donation for their services.

Norfolk isn't covered that well on the IGI - apparently one of the bishops there refused to supply details to the LDS.

If you have a look on Free Reg, sister site to Free BMD you will find him on there. Parents names concur but no mothers maiden name.

I am trying to confirm the parentage of George Finch born 1823 in Thorpe Abbotts Norfolk. I believe his parents were John Finch & Sarah Noller also born in Thorpe Abbotts. I would appreciate any help.
Many thanks
