Can anyone help? I am trying to find a birth of Joseph Gardner/Gardiner/Gardener born in ?New York in 1859 approx. His fther was Francis and his mother Mary both born in England.
Any help would be appreicated.

You didnt mention he was back in England - for ref - looking at the ages/places of birth of the other kids, I think there is a chance that there is a second marriage here?

Francis is noted as being a Merchant sailor, which may be useful for searching his records.

You may want to ask for a look up on the ship records on ancestry as he should appear even as crew. Hopefully with Mary and Joe on one trip :)

It seems that may be Mary accompanied him on that one trip - amazing, the woman seems to have spent her life churning out kids, doesnt she.
