Have just got a very prompt reply from Genes saying that they received numerous reports that i was advertising other sites on my thread. Thought I was just offering help! You live and you learn!

I'll post a new thread and make sure I don't mention any other websites in future!!

perhaps you should contact genes and ask them why the threads have gone

I have - neither of the threads are there at all! Haven't heard anything from Genes either!?

Dunno whats happened - replied to a post last night and everything was fine and this morn its all gone a bit haywire!

Only yourself or Genes can delete a thread and if this had been done by genes they normally inform you why the thread has been deleted.
Have you checked on MY Threads to see if it has maybe dropped down the list some way

Hi all

Can anyone please explain to my why my 2 threads offering lookups have been deleted??

I was offering lookups from the Emerald Ancestors site. Went to check the thread this morn and it was gone! So posted another and within 10 minutes it was gone again without any replies!!

This has been my first time offering help and whats the point if someone keeps deleting the thread?? I was really enjoying finding info and hopefully furthering members research!

Can understand the first being deleted if there were random comments posted during the night but to delete the second when there were no replies?!

As far as I am aware I haven't broken any rules - if I have could some kind soul please enlighten me so I don't do it again??
