Thanks all I think it might be on Thames. I knew about the Yorkshire Richmond which confused me.

The correct name for Richmond in Surrey is Richmond upon Thames so this might well be yours. However don't forget Richmond in Yorkshire.

Maybe short for Thames?? Not sure why this would be necessary as there is only one Richmond I think.
I'd give the registry office a quick ring.

Can anyone tell me if this is Richmond Surrey?

I have the details to send for a marriage cert but not sure if this will be the right one it says Richmond Ths but not come across this before. It is 1966 by the way.
