Hi, just wondering if there is anyone that can help me with a query.

I am trying to find out whether I can see who someone married on a search without purchasing a certificate - I know that an Alexander Ernest Lawrence married on Jan/Feb/Mar 1901 in Lambeth - but I need to find out if he married Louisa (and if so what was her maiden name)

Any help would be really appreciated

Looks like she was Louisa Harris

Well a search on the 1911 census site

http://fmpbsol.1911census.co.uk

Does show an Alexander b.1880, Louisa b.1882 and various children together in Lambeth.

Whether or not they are 'yours' though??

Hi Hazel,

If you check your other thread on French I explained how to use Free BMD to find a partner.

To find your previous threads look under tools on the left hand side of the page when you are on the community boards. Click on My threads.

Thanks everyone - Daisy, Minnie etc are their children, just couldn't find a way to find out their mum's maiden name.

Hi Christine - I have just tried to look at my threads and have deleted that one by mistake, I did find the marriage on the FREEbmd, but just couldn't find out how to find out who they married - can you tell me again and I promise I won't delete it!
