Are there any tips for finding families with common Welsh surnames and non distinctive first names please?

Are there ways to find family groups like we once could for 1901?

I'm looking for DAVIES, probably in the Bridgend area and
1) don't know the complete family
2) don't know if the mother, Hannah has died by then

Any tips please?

Thank you Jonesy.
I've had a go at that method, but am finding too many with the same name.

If anyone would like to attempt to find them, I'd be very grateful.

I'm looking for Alfred DAVIES bapt December 1862 in Madley, Herefordshire.
He married Hannah PARRY in Bridgend area in May 1886.
Hannah was shown as 21, but I have been unable to determine a birthplace or date for her.
1901 they are in Chapel Street, Betwys with son William A,born c. 1888 and a son Daniel born January1895 ( have cert.)

I know there were 2 more sons, Edgar and Bert, but don't know when they were born.
Hannah may have died in childbirth ( family tale from her grandaughter)

Hi Gywn,

There is an Alfred Davies b 1863 in Bridgend.

No Hannah, but a Daniel shows up as in the same household.

Not tried anything else for you, but looks good to me.

Kind regards
Amanda

If I put in born Madley, I still get the same Alfred

Thank you all for looking.
I must be doing something wrong :-(

Ann, Alfred was baptised in Madley, ....I don't know about the other part of that placename.

Are you all getting multiple results still? ie. lots of choices of Daniels, Edgars etc.
I'm thinking that Daniel may be the one shown as Dannie and Edgar born 1902.

Am I seeing this right?

Hi Gywn,

Put in Alfred Davies B 1863 Madley.

You will only get the one living in Bridgend in 1911.

I hope it the right one, I think it is.

Kind regards
Amanda

Thank you for helping Amanda.... I'm OK on that bit, finding Alfred.
It's finding out who was with him that's my problem.

Ann
Thank you so much, That's great.
I hope you didn't use all your credits to find them.

So Hannah has died.
That will cut down the many Hannah Davies to search now in the GRO deaths..
Many, many thanks.
