Tried to check her marriage on Ancestry to get idea of her age.
Found marriage of Millicent Desbois to Christopher Comben in 1941 - is this the right marriage. Irene

If you just look at Amelia's details it will only cost you 10 credits - the whole household will cost you the 30 credits. It will answer your question though. Good luck Irene

Hi
I first posted this problem a few years back when i started my family tree.
My nan who i knew as Milly, born 15/01/1915 could not be found anywhere when i was trying to find a record of her birth.
After a lot of help on here i managed to find a Rosetta Amelia Desbois born 15/01/1911 and a distant cousin who managed to fill me in on a few missing details. \It appears that my nan was born out of wedlock to a Rosetta Desbois born 1892. She was then brought up in the family by her grandparents (Rosettas parents) with rosetta playing the part of sister. The problem i have now encountred is that in the 1911 census i have found the family but my nan (milly) appears to be down as Amelia aged 3 yrs??? As her birth appears to be in 1911 this is not possiable. Would it have been possiable at this time to have lied about her age. I know unmarried woman were frowned upon at this time.
Any Advice greatly appreciated
thanks joy
