Death Certificates in England

Is it worth buying a death certificate for someone in 1898 who died in England?
As I have the relevant dates, what other information could I glean from a death certificate of that period?

Cause of death, date of death, place of death, name of informant (could be a relative or other potentially useful reference). Deciding whether to pay out for a cert depends on whether any of that would be useful or of value to you.

Thank you Kate.
It does sound as if it would be worth it.
The Scottish certificates do give a lot of information, but I was not sure about the English ones of that period.
May be worth the money, thanks again.

Thank you Annie too.
I think I will buy the cartificate.
