For England and Wales, no there isn't, although you can search the census and see the limited search results for free on the official site. And there are various techniques for refining ones searches listed on these boards which will give you maximum chance of finding the people you're after. But there's no way of seeing the actual transcripts or original entries without paying.

Not sure about Ireland, I think that may well be available online somewhere, others will know more than me,

Here is the link to the 1911 census, you can search for records for free, but to view the transcripts and originals you have to buy credits.

60 credits will cost £6-95
to view a transcript is 10 credits
to view the actual census return is 30 credits.

These records are free at Kew , but you have to go to there to access them. They are not online other than through the official site, which is pay to view, and no one has a subscription to this site.

I do believe the Irish 1911 census is online and free to use

Having trouble locating a family in 1911 census
Charles Henry Godfrey 1880
Annie Amanda Godfrey 1875
Betty Godfrey 1903
Violet Maude Godfrey 1905
James Charles Godfrey 1907
James was born 22/03/1907 at 91 Lancaster Road, Leytonstone.

I haven't found any records for Charles yet except his marriage to A A Sprake at St Benets, Stepney 29/09/1901.

Any suggestions as to how I might find them greatly appreciated
