is it possible to get old prison records (Durham) I think a few of my relatives could have spent a little time in there

Ive asked this before and someone suggested I contact the prison direct and ask if they keep their archives.

I have to say I havn't done it as I wanted info on someone inside in 1923

I think it depends how long ago ie. 100 year rule.
