Hi Holly,

I wonder if we are related somewhere? I married a Bramwell in 1967.

Thanks for your offer to look up information. If you really mean it I could do with some help with my Richardson ancestors.

They come from Sunderland but I believe were originally from Scotland and that is the link I cannot find.

I have John James Richardson c1850 married in 1882 to Mary Elizabeth Kirtley c1858. Both were from Sunderland and John was a butcher.

I believe but am not sure that John's parents were James Richardson c1825 and Jane Finley c1827. It would be good to have this confirmed or otherwise. Jane was from Sunderland and her parents were John Finley and Elizabeth Loney.

If you can help with any of this, particularly when the Richardsons arrived from Scotland, I would be SO grateful.

I had realised that my next step was going to have to be sending for certificates but I haven't yet worked out the easiest and cheapest way of doing this.

With many thanks

Heather

Hi Steph,
After all these requests I know you might not be bored anymore(!), but if you are not busy could you possibly look up Joseph Frederick Herbert=Edith [Nickson] Herbert from Yorkshire, as I am trying to find out about Joseph Herbert's parents.

If that is a dead end, could you possibly try Martha Bramwell, who had a daughter Addie Berrisford, who married Frederick Reeves? It's the opposite side of the family! Don't worry if you can't find anything or haven't got time!

Hi Steph

Really kind offer of help thank you.

I'm trying to track down a baptism for a Daniel BUTLER, probably in Bledlow, Buckinghamshire, I believe he was born around 1797.

Also his marriage to Sarah (surname unknown), I think their first child was born in 1827. Sarah was from Ickford in Bucks, so they may have got married there, although by 1841 the family are living in Bledlow.

I've tried the IGI on familysearch without success. Next stop is the Centre for Bucks Studies, but its a bit of a palaver getting there and there's only so much I can look up before the baby gets fed up!

Many thanks in advance. Off to do bath, bottle and bedtime now so won't be back online until later.

Hi Steph,

We are having problems finding the parents of a Mary Agnes Carroll born c1893, she married a Benjamin Plant born 1892 in Salford, Lancashire in 1912. If you can help with that and if possible any further back we would be most grateful.

Not been doing this for too long and seem to get stuck at every turn.

Hi there, how bored are you? I'm finding my task impossible. I need info on Julia Grant born Belfast 1879 with very little information. She was the daughter of Owen Grant and Ann Carroll had a brother Patrick Joseph born 1878.

Her son my grandfather was Angus John Grant 21 May 1903. Not sure if there's anywhere you could go with this. It was rumoured she'd emigrated - I can find nothing more about her.
Any suggestions?

Hi Steph
Are you still bored? Would you be able to find anything about
the death of Robert Carter b 1864 in Bristol but lived in Pontypridd.
When his daughter got married in 1915 he had already died. Is this enough info?
Thanks
Brenda
