	It still costs £7 to order a certificate - if you are asked for more, check that you have said 'yes' to the question asking if you have the GRO reference

	Ill bump up Tips for New Members for you - will give you all the basics you need for now. Im afraid you dont "find" certs, you have to buy them.

Member Since: July 2009 Posts: 46 Send Message	Hi, New to all this, how do we go about finding a birth certificate? We have the district as Prestwich, the volume as 6d and the page as 299. We don't know where to look next. Thanks Denise
