Jodie, bear in mind that Edith's marriage cert should confirm her father's name and her age (although people did lie on certs) and then getting her birth cert will confirm her mother's name. Censuses are useful for trying to piece things together but you will need certs to be absolutely sure.

hi iv'e not a lot of info so would appreciate as much help as you could kindly give. looking for wife of alfred cowley who was also the mother of edith matilda cowley born 1895/6 liverpool area also looking for siblings of edith think there could poss be a sister named dolly? hope someone can help..thanks
