Hi Everyone, Many thanks for your replies. Sorry I couldn't get back to you earlier.

Jonesey I didn't have 'Manage Tree' on my account. But I've just checked my account now and the person concerned has finally removed my permission to view their tree.

Thanks again to you all for responding. and offering to help. It was much appreciated.

Regards, Lou

I don't have any trees on Ancestry ... but once got in touch with someone regarding a possible relative with an unusual name.

They do not have any of my own research regarding this family on their tree

But, since first contacting them, I have had regular updates from Ancestry through this other person's family tree ?

Like Jim, I don't have Manage trees, only tree settings. Perhaps you only see manage trees if you have more than one, which I don't on my main Ancestry A/c

Lou will be able to confirm fairly quickly if the tree is hers as there will be a delete option. There are no delete options for other members trees, as confirmed by looking at my second Ancestry A/c which happens to have one other members tree attached.

I cannot help but would it be under "tree settings"?
My tree has a new format.Where is "manage tree"?

Surely you can only delete your own tree this way, not someone elses?

Hi Lindsey, Yes we were in contact, but it turned out we wern't connected. I've contacted her again to see if her tree was private and have asked for her to remove me, but still no luck. Just wondered if there was another way. I search the site to see how it can be done, but either it's not there or I'm so tired I can't see it.

Thanks again, Lou

Have you been in contact with another tree holder as a guest ?
I have a relative that whenever she adds people I get notified.

I have an Ancestry uk account, and under the tab ' Family Trees' is a tree that is not mine. The tree is vast and I keep getting updates on an almost weekly basis, which I've now managed to stop. I don't know how this has happened, but want to get rid of the tree completely. Has anyone got any ideas how to remove it?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice given.
Regards, Lou
