and those of us living overseas have very little idea of where places are!


I know I was born in the UK, but I left over 40 years ago!






Also please say if you are asking for information for a foreign country ...... eg, Australia, Canada or the US.

I now find that if I have to google to find out where some obscure village is then I'm afraid I don't bother trying to help ...

Good point.

I now live in Yorkshire but if anyone says Richmond I think of the one in Surrey as I used to live not far from there but there is also a Richmond in Yorkshire and I believe several others around the county.

So yes more information on location would be very useful

Just a small point, but can everyone be specific about place when asking for lookups? A lot of people refer to places which I for one have never heard of. Please indicate main town/county. Thanks folks!
