This computer has nearly gone out of the window.....
I have found the marriage of:-

Ebeneza Henry Harbott to Benjamina Amelia Housden in West Ham in 1868.

The Harbotts are from Stratford which is in the West Ham registration district, and the name Ebenezer runs through the family

I have been unable to find either of them in the 1861 census or the 1871 census, but I have found a birth for a Henry Ebenezer Harbott, again in the West Ham area for ond 1868.

Maybe they emigrated before 1871, but why am I not able to find them in 1861??

No, this is Ebenezer Henry Harbott, not William Ebenezer Harbott.

Oh you wonderful people, a million thanks. Here was I thinking I had lost the plot. I have been researching this family for a friend and as there were very few Harbotts in Stratford at about this time, I thought they must all be related. Most I found dead easy, but this pair was doing the "hiding" act.

Thank you so much again
