Information regarding Bounty Widow

You should be able to get his Navy record from the National Archives, Kew. Their website has a section called "Documents on Line". If they have a record it costs £3.50 to download it.

I have been able to trace a relative and his wife in the 1891 census he is shown as on board a naval ship and she is living with her parents. When looking them up in the 1901 census I can find no trace of him but his wife and 2 children are shown living alone and under occupation for her is 'bounty widow'. I assume he must have died perhaps whilst in the Navy but can not find where or when. Can anyone please answer my query and perhaps suggest where I may look to find him, Thanks Teresa
