On the image for the 1901 census the person above him was born Ardwick; Manchester, and their is a ditto at the side of his name so the transcription for his place of birth is wrong, It should be born Ardwick; Manchester

according to his army service records his wife is called Rebbecca
her he is with wife and kids on the 1901 census

so could he have been born somewhere else. on his army papers it says he is a british citizen but cant find death either and have looked in army deaths

i have found my grt grt grandfather in the army in 1915. his name thomas england born 1877 and at the time lived in manchester and was married. i have searched for his birth and death on findmy past and ancestry.co.uk. can you suggest anywhere else to look please. many thanks
