Dear PaulW

Hello

I think that FIndmyPast is a little better for finding details of addresses rather than Ancestry.

They also have parish records which they are addding to.

On Ancestry, you have to go into the image to see the address on the
original census form and the writing is sometimes pretty poor.

I found details of my great-grandmother's x 4 burial record from 1851.

However, I found baptism records from 1760-1795 on Ancestry.

It varies as to what records are available because some counties
were better than others in storing the info.

Hope this helps

Best wishes

Ancestry will give you a 14 day free trial. It's worth a go to see what you think.

Have read today that Ancestry have just released more records on their site regarding Capital Punishment/

I think it has come to a time when I should pay for s ubscription to a site. Do you think Ancestry or FindmyPast are the best ones and which one of the two.

The other question I wanted to ask on the Family Search Site I have never registered but able to get info. Do you get something different if you are actually registered with them. i.e. extra info.

Regards Paula
