Battenburg Report 6 Aug 2009 16:24

My grandmother was born in St Johns Chapel near Stanhope Durham. She married and moved to Middlesbrough. Her husband died in 1948 in Middlesbrough.
I then found she had died in Stanhope in 1950 . My father was with her at death. So Im assuming she was visiting or had returned there to live because it gave her address as Stanhope.

Perhaps this is what happened to Joseph or since he was a pedlar he could have died suddenly while working

Unlikely I know but if there is an inquest the death isn't registered until after. OH's sister was registered a year after she died.

Of course the daughter, if under 21 may have lied so she didn't need parental permission.
