Thanks Kerin and Nicola

They is rumors within my family that my grandfather was captured by the Japanese at the fall of Singapore but in was serving in India in about 1943/1944-1945,was it possible he escaped, My grandfather was originally a Aircraftmen in Singapore but because of the fall of Singapore he had a nervous breakdown and was transferred to India as a groundsman, would be great if these records could prove he was a former Pow who escaped or was rescued. Another rumor is he escaped from Singapore on the last Ship and was lucky to escape with his life,i would not be here writing this if he was killed.

Thanks again

Mark
