Helen,

Perfect, thank you. How did I not find it? It doesn't seem to work unless you use the method you have suggested.

Unfortunately, the family living there means nothing to me, but at least I have been able to discount them.

What would we do without help from GR members? Flounder in the dark!

Many thanks

Go to Home page, then on right hand side under Record Collections and UK Census Records click on the census you want.

At the bottom of the search beneath Father's/Mother's/Spouse's given name there are these boxes (these are from 1901 but I think they, or something similar, are on all of them):

Census
RG13/ Piece
Folio
Page #

Hope this helps, good luck.

Hi Helen

Yes, that is what I expected - but I can't see them!

if you go to the specific census you want i.e. 1891, then there should be boxes at the bottom of the search page for the info you have

Hi folks

I have a census reference for a particular property in 1851. Ancestry used to allow the input of such a reference (piece and folio), but I can't see any such facility now.

Is it still there, or is there some other way of searching on this basis?
