I've found lots of overseas military on the 1911. It will give the regiment, the rank and where he was stationed.

Thanks Jim
I found a couple of possibles. I dropped his middle name and came up with all the James Hedley's with some spelling variations too. Several are Military Overseas.
Need to buy some credits now and see if I can hit the right one

Thanks again

Hi Jim
Yes that was why I tried checking it out but it's not very informative and only able to enter Names , birth year and Military Overseas.

So far nothing came up

What makes you think that overseas records are available?

The 1911 census for England and Wales was taken on the night of Sunday 2 April, 1911. The count included all individual households, plus institutions such as prisons, workhouses, naval vessels and merchant vessels, and it also attempted to make an approximate count of the homeless.
