Can anyone tell me which would be the best Scottish census site to subscribe to. I would like to look up church registers for marriages/births in Scotland . I'm rather new at this so would appreciate any recommendations. Many thanks

Ancestry has the Scottish census but no images.

Scotlandspeople has the census and images but is a pay to view site.

Scottish BMD's are on Scotlandspeople but their laws are a bit different and you would not be able to view online births after 1908 but they would give you the numbers to order a cert. A 100 year closure on that information

Always worth checking IGI (familysearch) for any births if you are looking in the 1800's or earlier
