Are there any plans for this to be available on here? It could provide me a vital missing link, and I find it a bit galling to have to subscribe elsewhere just to access it.

it is also free on familysearch

I think it's free on findmypast because they only have transcripts, not original images. But they've announced today that images will be coming soon - you may have to pay for it then. Of course, when the sale of GR to Brightsolid goes through....

Its also free on ancestry.co.uk - plus all the other census except 1911 and you can access the lot free of charge for a 14 day trial

it is free on www.familysearch.org ...... the Mormon site BUT you cannot look at the census image on there, only at the transcript, although you can look at the families in neighbouring houses

it is free on www.ancestry.co.uk ........................ and you can look at both the transcript and the census image on there.

it is free on www.findmypast.com ......... and the transcription is different from the transcription on ancestry.

Both findmypast and ancestry transcriptions are different from the familysearch one.

I doubt that findmypast wil be able to charge for it as the 1881 census is free on other sites!
