I have spent some time looking for the birth of Jane firkins brn west bromwich staffs 1840. I need the birth to send for her cert

Nothing coming up she may not have been registered.it wasnt compulsary till 1875

Surname Fahse. Germany. Essex .South East London My avatar is one of our wedding photos of 1957

it may be that the birth was not registered as this was not compulsory in 1840

I'm wondering if there is any chance your info is not quite right? Have you found Jane on census reports? I can't see her at all. Just a thought!

You have a Jane Firkins born 1870 in your tree. Is this what you mean?

Wrong area but is this possible?

Births Mar 1841
Firkin Jane Birmingham 16 317

or this one if you mean 1870

Births Mar 1871
Firkins Jane Catharine King's N. 6c 483

Sorry for the late reply, but was called to work. Many thaks for the help and replies. Yes, I have a Jane brn 1870 but its not her I am looking for. The Jane brn 1841 birmingham looks a possible. again thanks

It would help if you could explain how you know when and where she was born because she's not on any census records.
