computer package?

Hello,
I have just started my tree on here and have copied it to anncestory as well. I have read other people have their own programs? on their computer and just upload?

whats the best package? and if you download form gr why does it not include the pics??


I have searched for a thread on this but cant find anything.

I bought Family Tree Maker Platinum from official site at around £35 but this includes 6 months Essentials Subscription to Ancestry. I feel its a bargain. Unfortunately for me though, it is still in its shiney new box as I don't understand how to download it, as computer skills are not my forte, so I wait patiently for someone to show me...........

oooooo thank you for this informaiton. I have just found that tesco's clubcards are doing this package for £15... if you have that amount in points!

I have got £12!! have to look around for another 3pounds worth.

No, Im nuts MGHS. Dowloading, inputting, gedcoms, files, USBs,you name it, its all gobbledigooch to me.
