Are you clicking on place search and not person.
Joan

Start new person search for John Maudesley and put west ham in the district.
Comes up with two hits. Both are yours.

Oh, Joan, I will be able to calm down if only I can find them. Granddad has ALWAYS been a problem with this family tree hobby.....

Here it is

John and Kate Maudesley
John born in 1873 in Bootle Lancs
Kate born in Canning Town in 1880
Their children were born at 23 South Molton Road, Canning Town, West Ham. EVA in 1903, ELLEN in 1905, JOHN in 1907 and LILY in 1910. All the others followed between 1910 and 1922

Is this any help??

There is steam comeing out of my ears........................I have been trying to find my grandparents on the 1911 census. I have tried everything and used the wild caard, but nothing. I know exactly the address they were living at in 1911 and have tried various areas....ie Canning Town, Tidal Basin, Custom House but nothing. Ideas please.
