Thank you so much Richard & Helen for taking the time to help.
We are very appreciative .

I will pass this info on to my friend and look at what you have replied.

The info looks promising.
Its late here now in the UK so I must leave to get some sleep,
Thanks again. I will re-check this thread in the morning

Richard in Perth

Richard in Perth Report 20 Aug 2009 02:47

For reference: this would appear to be their marriage - so his wife was Josephine A Hudson:

Name: Alan F Hudson
Name: Josephine A Hudson
Date of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep 1958
Registration district: Leicester
Volume Number: 3a
Page Number: 1773

is this Josephine's birth? If so, she was 15 years his junior:

Name: Josephine A Hudson
Mother's Maiden Surname: Draper
Date of Registration: Jan Feb Mar 1933
Registration district: Warwick
Volume Number: 6d
Page Number: 1196

This looks like the son's birth:

Name: Antonie W Hudson
Mother's Maiden Surname: Hudson
Date of Registration: Jan Feb Mar 1958
Registration district: Leicester
Volume Number: 3a
Page Number: 931

... having said that, I haven't found any of them in any of the online cemetery records that I know of. As you say, they could still be alive. Do you know what state they settled in?

Richard

Edit: the one that Helen found above looks promising! Unfortunately the NSW deaths index only goes to 1978 - so you may need to wait until January 2010, when the next year of records comes online. The index should confirm his parents names.

Hi , I am posting this request on behalf of a lady who would like to find information about her grandfather who emigrated to Australia in 1960.
He was registered as Alan F Hudson (F being for Frederick) on the ship ..Fairsky in 1960 to Australia along with wife Josephine and son Antoinie, his listed address was Leicester, England & his occupation was a hair dresser.

He was born in Mansfield , Nottinghamshire , England as Frederick Hudson 18 july 1918.

My friend is seeking a death date for him , that's if he did die in Australia , although he could still be alive ...probably not though.

Are there any Australian internet sites that could be of help to find a death date for this man.
Any thing is appreciated.

Simon
