Barry are you always on here? What would we do without you? :-))) I'll get my walking boots out and set off from Coventry tonight. If Im not in touch by Christmas send out the search parties. What a remote area tho, trust one of mine to be there. xx
Ive found him!! After 4 years! I gave up, because there were soo many James Price's. But found the baptism for James Price in Vowchurch to Samuel and Ann, I thought he may be mine, not sure. Then found him on the 1851 and his mum was born in St Margarets! They were living in a hamlet by St Margarets. Im sure he's mine, its such a teensy place and the name and birthyear fit. His first daughter was called Ann too. {Hug to you both}.

Aha! I'll do that now. Maybe he was from a farming community. Thanks Janet.

Go on google map and search for st margarets herefordshire (not hereford) and sure enough it is there - not much around those parts though I must say!!

Does St Margarets exist? I definately mean a place, not a church or school etc. My man James Price born 1833-37 depending on which census to believe, was born in St Margarets, Hereford. But on googling, nothing seems to show that it exists anymore. A map came up, but only with a St Margarets church, is another area. I know nothing more about him until he married in the mid 1860's.
