I wondered if the 1901 irish census is available for donegal or the 1931 or 1941. Have found what I was looking for on the 1911.Just wanted to work the family through a little more
If not available where would look. Parish records? A bit difficult as dont live in ireland any other ideas?
Many thanks (Im not very good at all this but having a go)

The 1901 should be online by the end of the year -
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/about/futureplans.html
By end-September, we will be rebuilding the site to include full transcription of all of the data on the household forms for 1911, including religion, occupation, relationship to head of family, literacy status, marital status, county or country of origin, Irish language proficiency, specified illnesses, and child survival information.
1901, with all data transcribed, will be launched towards the end of 2009.

Pre civil registration is as difficult in Ireland as it is in England. 1931 and 1941 census would not be possible.

Church of ireland records are mostly held in RCB Library in Dublin phone number - +353 1 4923979; they don't do searches but will recommend people who do. Most Catholic records are held in parish itself and viewing up to priest's discression.

You can request census records from national archives by post - see their website to download form for application.
