Help please , on military records ,

cause of discharge, Physically unfit...and then the initials V.O.H.

does anyone know what V O H stands for? please

could it be something like shell shock as it says he was physically fit so possably something to do with the mind

Might it be the initials of the discharging officer?

It can mean volatile organic hydrocarbons..... perhaps he was gassed. Eileen

Thanks all... it does say that what ever made him unfit was a pre existing condition before he joined up and not affected by his service.

Will take a longer look , and compare with others also,

Could it be VDOH which is Valvular Disease of Heart, I think?
