The baptisms are for other Nadens that are connected.

I'm starting to think they didnt get married as I cant find any trace of a marriage. It could be she left the first husband and so just took the name Naden. I may get her death cert as that might throw some light on it.
I shall just have to be satisfied with my 99% sure on Thomas :)

Dont think there was a marriage...........looked on IGI, LancsBMD and lan-opc.....couldnt get close. Do you have a Birth cert for the "definite child" ?

Yes that's them. William is actaully a Thompson from Harriet's first marriage but the other two are Nadens.
I'm tracing the Nadens from Durham and although I'm 99% sure that this Thomas is connected to my tree I would like his marriage cert showing his father as Francis just to be 100% lol

This is driving me to drink so I thought I'd put my quest out there to see if anyone can help.
I'm looking for a marriage of a Thomas Naden to a Harriet Thompson nee Lloyd. Their first definite child is born in 1857 in West Derby Lancashire (although I suspect an earlier daughter Sarah Ann Neaden b1855)
I've got them on all the census from 1861 onwards but I cannot find the marriage entry. I've looked under various spellings of Naden and have tried under various spellings of Thompson but to no avail. Have looked under her original surname of Lloyd too but still nothing.
The only marriage entry I can find of a Naden and Thompson in in 1853 of a Thomas and Sarah but they're a different couple.

This is driving me insane and I know they may not have married but I have a feeling that it's under a starnge spelling of one of the surnames.

If someone finds the entry I shall give them my eldest child in payment as she makes a lovely cup of tea!!
