As I said, you needed to read the thread carefully - I posted the death for a possible daughter, which you seemingly didn't see - at least, I hope that's what happened

Hi Nicky. I have put Prscilla down on my list of certs that I need. The Priscilla I mentione died in 1905 aged 24 but know I'm intriged about the other Priscilla aged 4, maybe she could have been their daughter, think I will put that cert on my list as well, but I know that unless her father, auntie or uncle, registered the death that it wont give me much of a clue.

Looking at freeBMD there are quite a few children surname McCulloch in Liverpool registeration district who were born and died between 1901 and 1911...personally I would probably start by ordering the death cert. for Priscilla who died age 4 in 1908..........

Freewheel- The child on the other thread was the one he had to his second wife, Elizza. All that I was wondering was is whether George and his first wife, Priscilla had any children. If you read the orgianl post you will see that I only asked for advice and in no way did I ask for anyone to do look ups for me. I also appreciate the look up you and the other people did for me on the other thread, I'm still new to this and trying to get my head round it.

If you check really carefully on the other thread, you will see information about a possible child

The 'link' was to alert other people to the amount of work already done on this

Thanks for the link anyway.

Hi Anita. yes I have him on the 1901 census married to Priscilla McCulloch nee Leather and have found them on feebmd, She died Dec 1905, then he married Eliza Houston Dec 1906. I tried to find Priscilla's sister and husband on the 1911 census to if they had any children living with them with the name McCulloch but I ran out of credits. Think I will leave looking in to that idea for now and work with the more positive leads that I have.

Thanks for everyones advice.

HI Janice- I have had a look at what you surggested and couldn't find anything, maybe they didn't have any children or if they did I will just never know.

If she died in childbirth, there may be a baby's death in the same quarter and place - assuming child was born alive.

Hi K. I have just been and got some credits on the 1911 census. it just shows him, his second wife and a 1 month old baby (my granddad). Im going to get the 1st wifes death cert and see if that gives any clues, she could of even died in child birth. I have tried looking for her sister on the 1911 census but with her surname being Smith it gave me loads of results and soon used up my credits. It an expansive but interestring hobby this family history stuff.

thanks for the advice,

Michelle

Have you found your great grandfather in 1911? He may have children from the marriage living with him. Or does he have any relatively unusual surname - in which case it would be worth looking at FreeBMD for possible births

I have found out that my G, garndfather was married twice. I have found him and his wife on the 1901 census with no children but his 1st wife died in 1905. what I am trying to find out is if they had any children. I would be most greatful if someone could give me advice on how i might do this or point me in the right direction.

many thanks,

Michelle
