Morning Kath.

Trying not to get too excited but I think you may have her. Although on 1911 is says she was born in Holloway. She was in Camberwell district when she got married in 1910 and also living there in 1911.

We are all from that area and my friend was born 5 minutes from the road where they were living, she was born in 1943. We are going to send for the cert. as it's the on'y lead we have after looking on and off for a year or more.

Still not having found a father she may be the one that Margaret found in the Lambeth Infirmary.

Thanks very much everybody. I'll let you know what the cert. says

Linda

Closest one I can see is Margaret Dickinson born 1891 Lambeth. In 1901 she's a patient in Lambeth Infirmary.

I don't think so

They are H.L Carter and H. Emery. my friend doesn't recognize either surname.

Not that helpful

Do the names of the marriage witnesses hold any helpful information?

I am trying to help my best friend to find her Grandmothers birth

She was married in 1910 in Lambeth, Surrey to George Ellis, her father was Andrew Dickenson. Her age was 20. Which makes her date of birth 1890, Father is deceased and was a journeyman bricklayer.

I have found her on 1911 census with George aged 21, date of birth 1890 born Holloway, London same address as on marriage certificate.

We have, last week, found her grave in Norwood Cemetery. Margaret Frances Ellis died 1963 aged 76, which makes her date of birth 1887.

Can't find her birth or find her on 1891 or 1901 census or her father Andrew. Have checked for Andrew's death but nothing comes of that either.

Any help VERY welcome.

Thanks

Linda
