And do a google search as there are SOME parish records on line - and Online Parish Clerks for some counties.

Dont forget freereg which is being transcribed by volunteers (similar to freebmd) and is a wonderful resource.

Ancestry.co.uk also has SOME parish records.

You need to know which parish, obviously, and then you need to find out which record office holds the records for that parish.

If you are in London, it's worth looking on the SOG catalogue, as some parish records are available there.

Some parish records are available on CD ROM too.

Some are on the IGI (Familysearch.org)

If it's Kent, look on CityArk

I need to start looking into parish records how do i go about this can anyone tell me where to start.
