My mother's family come from Co Roscommon in Eire. I've got some information from her and from the Leitrim-Roscommon website but I need to search the church parish records for marriages, baptisms and deaths.
Has anyone any advice on how to find the right parish church and where the records will be stored now?
Thanks in anticipation
Maureen

Dear Maureen

Hello

I think they could probably be stored at the local archive and history office for the area.

What years are you looking at?

If you go to the Genes Reunited Tips Board and work down it, there are many GR members who are more familar with Irish records and would be able to help.

Best wishes

you could also google for RC churches in the area - they do seem to have extensive records

Thank you both. I've also had messages from other people with helpful information and offers of checking information. I think I can move forward now.
There's always someone on this site who will help.
