If you have a map of modern Glasgow find Glasgow Cross, it lies in the centre of the city and is the junction of High Street on the north, Saltmarket running south to the river, Argyle street and Trongate to the west and Gallowgate and London Road to the east. Follow the London Road eastwards to Ross Street (about 1/2 a mile) and that was the beginning of Great Hamilton Street. Ozi.
