Am trying to locate an 1891 for those listed below - I have the 1881 & 1901 just not the 1891 and tis frustrating me (specifically interested in Jacob aka Jack aka John - but will take anything that will tie these two censuses together) - if anyone can assist that would be great. I have searched across variants plus each of the children and parents to no avail.

have also done address search.

They are at 19 Bolton Road Kensington in 1881
But not in 1891
They are at 36 North Street St Marylebone in 1901
But not in 1891.

Could they have gone back to Germany or Poland for a visit. Nope doesn't look like it.

I am absolutely stumped. Did they go somewhere, not bother with doing the census, change their names. You would think that even if Isaac and Rebecca went overseas the older children would still be on the census, particularly Jacob and Soloman.

Have been trying to see if they went overseas - I do know in the early 1900's relatives went to US but am not seeing anything pop up at the mo.

Am about to see what I can find for German/Polish records to see if that is were they were.

I have tried to see if they were on any outbound ships but still looking. between censuses.

There is also I suppose that they went to Ireland/Scotland for a period of time so have a few lines of searching to get through to find them!

They have to be somewhere!!

If Jane was 22 in 1901, she would have been born c.1879. In 1902 she would have been 23. This may be a possible marriage for her in 1902. I've deleted the other female from the equation. Any of the names ring a bell. I'll edit in the source info in a minute.

I went back to the old search in Ancestry and came up with this when I searched for Isaac Galland. The numbers before the date are the matches with that name in those records. Also found similar results for Rebecca. Searched between 1881 and 1901.

I am unable to access the USA or Canadian records. However you will note the reference to the 1891 England Census. No its not a match not unless your Isaac was 15 years younger than stated on the census and ran away with the wife of the person he was boarding with. Coincidence and remember they are fairly common given names from European countries.

Wow ladies you have been busy overnight. I did check through what I could get to on outgoing lists etc. but I don't have Ancestry US records - checked IGI as well just in case they showed on their records further along - no luck.

All this other info I will print off and digest but must say Jane looks very spot on.

The Solomon record - and we know there was a brother solomon to rebecca, I looked at and put that aside to follow thru on and you have also pulled it up so sounds like I could be on the right track there.

I have also in my "travels" seen a site for searching Jewish ancestry - but didn't get the chance to follow through with that yesterday - it was Fathers day here so was a bit hard to keep the flow with visiting dads and then kids visiting!!

Also aware of a Louis Solomon being in US in 1911 as Jacob visited Louis but Jacob was deported in 1912. Heather located the deportation record on another thread but that was as much as I asked her for knowing he went but was sent home.
