People seemed to move frequently even in the same area. They usually lived in rented houses. Moved perhaps to cheaper rent, better house. Landlord being difficult

My grandparents had 3 different houses in the same street

Thomas and Emma Croston can be found in the 1901 census which was the first one after their marriage. They appear to be living at 30 Ashfield Cottages in the St Martins district of Liverpool

The names of all the roads you mentioned are the same as roads in the same district of early Canning Town in East London. The exception is Liverpool Street is Liverpool Road.

Look at the map, link below to check this out. Bidder St and Liverpool Road are N/S roads near the River Lea.

HI MICHAEL, I AM NOT LOOKING FOR LIVERPOOL ST. I AM LOOKING FOR EMMA KIRBY WHO LIVED IN BIDDER ST AND THOMAS CROSTON WHO LIVED IN ROKEBY ST IN 1896 THAT IS ON THEIR WEDDING CERTIF IN 1896 I ASSUME THE STREETS ARE IN LIVERPOOL BECAUSE THE CHURCH WHERE THEY MARRIED IS LIVERPOOL.

Mick in the Sticks

Mick in the Sticks Report 8 Sep 2009 10:49

In 1881 there were 5233 people living in streets named Liverpool Street. Could you possibly give a few more details to narrow the field down a bit. Names of people and area would help.
