Missing from Census.

Is someone able to help me please.
Why would a person be reflected on the census records for 1841 and 1861 but not on 1851. I have looked on Ancestry.co.uk and cannot understand this.

Probably just mistranscribed. Have you tried looking for him using just first name, year and place of birth?

year of death 1863 Southampton.
