Can any one help me find the births of Susannah c1822 and Martha Richmond c1831 from Skipton North Yorkshire area Please.

I think this might be Martha's christening from the IGI:-

Thank you Kathleen . This makes sense with information I have for her parents. I could not find her living with parents on 1841 census but did find her on 1851 census, living with her sister, Susannah who was then married to Henry Sprencer. Robinson Richmond their brother also then lived with Susanah.

In regards to Susannah I can not find her birth but the 1841 census shows her as a servant.

A further mystery I have to follow yet is a Josuah Richmond on the 1851 census who is again living with Susanah. But I do not know who he is.?


He cannot be another brother because Martha died in 1841 leaving William a widower.

BUT be careful that you only really pay attention to EXTRACTED records, taken from the actual parish records.


SUBMTTED records have been sent in by individuals, usually church members, and have no backup documentation ..... take such records under advisement until you can find documentation.




No sure certain sign of Susannah though ...... and I did try looking under all counties
