Hi Valerie, found this by clicking on "Help" above, and then "Family tree".

I have made a mistake with my tree. How do I REMOVE NAMES from my tree?

If you have added a name in error or put someone in the wrong place by mistake it is quite easy to remove them from your tree. To remove an individual from your tree you need to select the name of the person to be removed and then click on the 'Delete relation' button in the edit tools section at the bottom of the My Family Tree page. There is a small black arrow next to 'edit tools' and a box will appear with the delete option.

You can only delete a name from your tree if it is at the top or the bottom or has no other branches attached to it. For example, you can remove or delete the child of a relation. However, if you have added the wrong father, you would need to remove any children first before deleting him. You will see a message saying you cannot delete a relation if other names are attached to that person. You will need to look at your tree and either remove names from the bottom upwards or from the top down depending on where the relation is that you wish to remove.

Hope it helps.
