Can anyone please tell me where I can get parish records on CD. Most of my research is in Shropshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire. I have tried Google but don't seem to be getting anywhere.

You could try the local family history societies. They often have PR's on cd's for sale. I think there is one for Leicestershire.

Hi I have Shropshire Marriages on CD if that is any help. Give me a surname of either the bride or groom and if possible the village/location of the marriage and I will see what I come up with.
Personally I am very disappointed with the CD as I have not found anything to help me but I am willing to try. Cindy

You may find useful CD's on the Parish Chest site.

I have parishes south and east of Devizes if it helps.

Edit: I realised after I posted that the area was wrong, and was going to delete it. However I thought I'd leave it in case it was of use to anyone else who reads this!

Hi Chrisse, there's a very, very nice bloke on the boards called Derec who is a mine of info on Derbyshire records, and is only too willing to help,I'll look and nudge it for you.

Also if you google Wirksworth Parish Records, that covers lots of Derbyshire.

And,genuki.org.uk/big/eng/DBY/Eyam/Records. That one is brilliant. All for free.

Hi Annina,

Thanks for your reply. Derek has already done look ups for me but I didn't want to take advantage of him as so many of my ancestors are from Derbyshire which would mean an awful lot of look ups.
