Hi

Have a marriage cert from 1919, grooms residence give as "Vine House Rochdale" can anyone from area give me any information, as to where abouts? is it still in existance? Nothing on google

Have you investigated the groom's background any further? Might be possible to find him 1901, say, and see if this location pops up - a bit of a long shot though!

He was born in Halifax in 1889 on census, was a bit of a mystery why family was in Rochdale, was hoping anybody who knows Rochdale could give me any info on "vine House"

I have just googled and found Rochdale -on -line which has a message board. Excuse me if you already know this. Best wishes

There is also mention of Rochdale Museum.

Vine House is on the 1911 census.

There's Vine Place still in existence today.

The Lord family is there in 1911.

Hi Tom

The place you could enquire is Touchstones which is where everything to do with the history of Rochdale is kept. I have spent many an afternoon there searching parish records.

They usually go above and beyond he call of duty to help.

Just google Touchstones or link4life.

If theres anything I can help with just shout, I live in Rochdale.
