Whoops, my appologies to Potty and anyone else I may have deceived.

I've been with Scotlands People so long I didn't realise you could have another username.......... I have trouble enough remembering my password!.............At least I can't forget my e-mail address, yet.................

That's the problem Heather has here.
Forgotten your password..........................enter username.
Forgotten username you are in trouble.
Of course you don't know which one was wrong as the stock error message is "The username and password combination supplied returns no users"

She can always contact them quoting the e-mail address and they will get it sorted when someone has a look at the details and gets back to her, usually within 24 hours.
At least with the e-mail as username you will get an immediate reply with a new password.

Re-registering is alright but you will lose all access to previous searches and viewed images.

Sorry folks, that's all !

Hopefully you have it sorted out.
The thing is ,if you just start a new account, you wont have your previous searches to look back on.

Sorry to disagree with you, Frank, but my User Name on Scotlandspeople is not my email address - it is nothing like it!

"Choose a Username. The Username field will automatically populate with your email address; if you'd like a different username, simply type any string of at least 6 characters instead of your email address."

Hi Heather,

www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/

Your username with Scotlands People is your e-mail address.

If you forget your password, click on forgotten password and SP will send details as to changing password.

Please note that your password and e-mail are case sensitive so do ensure that you enter them as originally set.

Some time ago I registered with Scotlands people and bought some credits on line. I have just tried to log on to buy some more credits but it does not recognise my username or password. I decided to re-register but in order to buy credits I now have to download the request form & send it to them with a payment. Has the site changed or am I doing something wrong?
Please can someone advise.
Thanks
