Hi Det,

I don't have my true information on here and I have living details hidden.

Unfortunately the person / people who placed it on the web with that of my baby are relatives (I think that makes it worse) and their attitude is that it is okay to do so as everyone should share everything!!

Thank you both for your help.

Christine I will be careful, I have experienced that myself when people have taken my information (my correct dob etc) and they have plonked it in a website after me asking expressly not to, so I am very cautious now.

The other person has either removed their tree or uploaded a new gedcom file. Either action will cause any Hotmatches with that member to be deleted.

Try searching manually to see if it is the latter, in which case it might be worth sending a follow up message.

Just wondering if anyone could clear this up..

On Friday last week I had 97 matches with one person in my hot matches and so I sent a message to them to ask to make contact because I thought with that many matches surely we'd be related!

I have not heard back from them however the hot match has dissapeared from the top of my current listing and I have checked all through my ignored matched in case I had accidently ignored it but it is not there either.

I know I am not imagining it because I have the sent message in my mailbox and its says it has not yet been read by the person.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is it possible GR would have removed it from the site for some reason?
