Thanks - I have another thread that I've just put in, looking for them in censuses but it looks as though they travelled a bit which is why they are missing. (and mistranscribed!!). I'll take the other thread off again since it looks as though this one will be productive. I have also found two marriages for John Vincent Ewen

Jane Osborn looks right - fits with one born Stanmore.

Could someone please look up Jane BOLE b 1865 Montreal , Canada in the 1891 Census. Husband is down as Frank Shelton, living Tottenham. I can't get in to see the original. I think they are actually Frank and Jane Poole - mistranscribed. Also present is a Jane Evers - what relation is she? I am trying to find the younger Jane's maiden name - the marriage was in 1887 but there are only three names on Free BMD - and guess which one is missing!
