Im in ireland and only have a Maestro Laser card it says it doesnt accept this currency. I take it this means my card wont do sterling? Is there a way to change the currency on Scotlands people for the Euro? It does recognise it as a valid laser card. Any advice? thanks

Only thing I can find is that the site says under FAQ's

You can pay in most major currencies via the payment gateway.

But what exactly that means I do not have a clue

The payment gateway is simply the part of the site where payment is actioned, where there are the symbols of all the payment cards etc accepted. To the left of the blue "Purchase" button there is a question mark which leads to further information. This suggests that if you experience problems you should use the "Contact Us" facility. Perhaps you should try that. SP are usually very good at responding to queries.

Gavin, does it say that you can pay by PAYPAL? i live in Ireland and though i have never used the Scotland site i do use Genes and pay by Paypal. If you google www(.)3v(.)ie it will bring you into the site there you sign up for a 3v card brought in by TSB and VISA where by you get a card (takes a few days) and then you bring that card to any shop desplaying the 3v payzone sign you can get credit ranging from 20euro upwards. They scan your card and you receive a number for your credit and the 3 numbers usualy on the back of your credit card comes vie your mobile phone.
You usually have 2 months in which to use your credit and can top up on it each time the credit number is different .

Lily

Thistledown i got it sorted ......i got a pay as you go Mastercard .......it costs €3.50 to top it up with however much you need and is accepted worldwide like a standard Mastercard.. Handy idea especially for someone like me that couldnt be trusted with a real credit card..........im worse than a woman for impulse buying lol.
